Tulku Choekyi Nangpa Rinpoche was born in Tibet in 1970 and entered the monastery at the age of nine.When Rinpoche was 23 he was recognized as the reincarnation of Tselnimpa Sonang Nampo one of themost important students of Kunkhyen Jonangpa Chenpo Dolpopa Sherap Gyaltsen (1292 – 1361) – whoin his turn was the reincarnation of Ngeton Bhakula.Since 1993 Tulku Choekyi Nangpa Rinpoche resides in India. He studied at the Ganden monasticUniversity and received lectures, transmissions and empowerments from H.H. the Dalai Lama.Tulku Choekyi Nangpa Rinpoche is a highly advanced and respected Dharma practitioner and teacher. Heholds the degree of Dorjee Lopon, which implies that he is a vajra-lineage holder of the Jonang school.Dorjee is the highest possible degree that one can obtain in the Tantric tradition.H.H. the Dalai Lama considers Tulku Choekyi Nangpa Rinpoche to be the authentic guru of the Jonangschool, which comprises 70 monasteries. This lineage can be traced back to the time of the Buddha andthe school has existed in Tibet for almost 1000 years.During his visit in 2008 to the Ganden monastery and more in specific to the Ganden Shartse SockpaJamyang Khangtsen, H.H. the Dalai Lama stated that the Kalachakra Deity, Pel-Due-Tchy-Khor-Lo (inSanskrit Kalachakra, in English 'Shri Kalachakra') and Rinpoche are equal.Many famous and many high lamas consider Rinpoche to be a guru who stands comparison withMilarepa's guru, Marpha.Tulku Choekyi Nangpa Rinpoche holds all transmission lineages from the Jonang tradition and transmitsthe living “Wheel of Time Continuum” practice (Kalachakra in Sanskrit) to his students.Many of those who live close to Rinpoche transform without even having received a single teaching.Emotions like fear, anger, jealousy etc. become less intense.Rinpoche actually teaches at the Jonang monastic University and at the Kalachakra Meditation Centre inShimla and Dharamsala, India.He is invited regularly to teach in Europe, South America and Taiwan.
